On the Origin of the Architecture

The Architecture of Professional Conflict Management did not emerge from a theoretical design, but from professional observation developed over many years.

In professional conflict work, it becomes evident time and again that conflicts rarely fail due to a lack of methods. They fail more often because in decisive situations the professional attitude is missing — the capacity to deal responsibly with complexity, power, uncertainty and emotionality.

Methods are necessary. Yet they only unfold their effect when they are grounded in a sound professional attitude. This attitude means remaining capable of orientation even under difficult conditions, tolerating ambiguity, perceiving different interests, maintaining impartiality and remaining capable of action even in escalating situations.

From this observation, the Architecture of Professional Conflict Management gradually developed.

It does not see itself as a collection of individual methods, but as a systematic frame of reference for professional conflict work. It connects attitude, competences, roles, processes and decisions into a coherent structure that enables orientation in complex and dynamic conflict situations.

Methods alone do not create professional conflict management. Only the interplay of professional attitude, specialist competence and reflective decision-making enables sustainable conflict resolution.
